But because I'm currently buying World of Warcraft and probably won't be back on GWG in a while I guess you can continue this topic but you'll just be supporting my opinion, Ranked > Rankless.
If you didn't care you wouldn't have made a thread and bothered to make malicious comments directed at the people posting in the thread, and you also wouldn't bother to reply that you're now buying WoW. :] Untangle your panties and stop QQing.

ofc it's Ranked > Rankless. Ranked people know the maps, know the meta, and know what to do. (Generally) Yeah it's hard starting out, but I assure you some people do still help others :P Join a fame farming group or randomway, and talk to people and make friends.

No one on guru is going to stroke your GWAMM epeen. The mass majority of pvpers think pve is retarded and takes no skill. <3 Have fun on WoW

Sir Baddock, all I can derive from your post, is that you're just the next best PvE'er complaining he can't play grindway through HA. Or atleast not the way it is in PvE.

You say you have extensive experience, but you DON'T. You said it yourself, 9000 hours of PvE... PvE is repetitive grind that a somewhat trained monkey can pull off, esp. will all the PvE build lying around.

You say people should take you. Why would they want to take you, a person with clearly no form of insight whatsoever, over someone who actually HAS PLAYED every map before, DOES KNOW what to do and actually has the right attitude towards PvP.

Clearly, you just want to "farm" HA the same way you've farmed all your other titles, well, Sir, I say to you, go back to the stinkhole called PvE you came from.

As shit is HA is right now, it's FAR from PvE, and you actually have to try to get fame.

By the way, if you're so GODLY walking amongst us mere mortals, with your extensive Guild Wars experience and the ability to "own" all of us 1v1, why don't you FORM a group yourself?

No sir, the truth is:

"Hi, my name is [insert random PvE'er], and I want to leech fame in HA without having to do anything so I can fill my HoM. I don't want to try, deicate some time to it, nor actually have a positive attitude towards the format. I just want people to take me in their high ranked group, give me some bitch bar, let me leech fame and items, and then when I have my XX rank, I can go brag to my friends on how pro I am"

Sorry bud, it doesn't work like that. Unlike what you think your options are, THESE are your real options:

-Keep bitching about rank-discrimination, which doesn't even exists, as a person with a higher rank WILL be better than a person without a rank. (Not concidering ebay)
-Keep joining randomways and unranked pug's, just to find yourself loosing over and over again, because everyone simply isn't as "godly" as you.
-Actaully don't be a lazy f*ck and form your own goddamn team. (I VOTE FOR THIS)

-PM me in-game, and well take about a 3K per fame deal. We'll play a build in which you can play ANY bitch bar you want, and we'll gladly farm some fame from you, it's what you want after all.

If you want fame, you have two choices:
1. join a guild
2. play with firiends

Don't say you can't join a guild since you are rankless, since about half the guilds in the PvP recruitment section don't give a shit and will give you a chance, and kick you if you suck.

If you've been playing GW for as long as you have and still don't have any friends, then how the hell have you been playing so long? The only reason I even log on is because I have friends, and I have still taken multiple month breaks 3 or 4 times.

The only reason that it would be difficult for you to get into Tombs is if you are terrible, have no friends, and refuse to learn.

Also, GWAMM means nothing, I've played with plenty of people who have it and are still terrible.

Firstly I'd like to thank you, this thread just gave me some good laughs.

As to your predicament, discard absolutely everything you have in pve. No one in pvp gives two fingers about that, you can get through the entire pve game and to gwamm and still be completely useless at pvp. Especially 8v8. So i wouldn't act like your above everyone here, or in game either. They have no reason to take you over anyone that has rank, at least showing they have played the maps and "may" have a slightly developed feel for the map/game mechanics.

Lastly you have the options that literally every single player has ever had, and they are still doing it now.

1. Join unranked teams, few and far inbetween and you'll HAVE to run what they want which is very likely some stale shitty meta lameway. Also very likely to fail

2. Make your own teams, you claim to be amazing. Form an amazing team. You'll likely have to run some lame shitty meta else barely anyone will join you.

3. Join a pvp guild, it's really not hard to find one that doesn't have a rank req and you can prove yourself in tryouts. You must know some pvpers over the 47 months you've played so ask them if they know of any recommendable guilds.

4. Get friends you know together and form a team running whatever you like and HAVE FUN. Fame will trickle in eventually.

Good luck.

9000+ hours?! Anyone else thinks thats an exuberant amount of time to spend on GWAMM?... I got mine in like 1800... not including my time on other characters..

How about your 4th option:
d) get actually involved and either switch to a PvP division of your guild, or find an entry-level PvP one - > Guilds recruiting section on this forum is a decent first start.
e) Make friends which pvp. Sooner or later, provided you aint acting like a douche you'll get in a team.

I wouldnt have automatically said "noob" to you like some people did, but after reading a few of your posts below, it would seem you fail at any understanding of this side of the game, and unfortunately, dont even realize it and dont want to learn anything. Everyone was a newb at PvP. Boasting with GWAMM or BAMM (BANG? MANG? ROFLANG?) or w/e doesnt help you get better in any way. Only shows, well, total ignorance and unwillingness to do anything.

Yet you whine about rank discrimination. WHY? Get out please.
Have fun at WoW or w/e.

o/t : whats this new mania of boasting with a GWAMM title? Is it supposed to show anything?? I always found /rank in the faces of people really retarted, but this beats it by a huge margin.

here are some tips that might help you out

bluf a lot
try to get in 7/8 parties that are going soon and the leader is impatience. You might go in without getting ur rank checked.

observe
If u observe different maps it will help you understand how it works.

communicate
using vent will increase ur chances to rank up
our guild rolls a lot of highranked teams and guilds just by good communication.

If you are a good monk go RA yourself to g3 and then you can get into some HA groups.

True, but do you think he wants to actually work to get better? His posts defo doesnt show it.. Sounds like a player that just wants to hit r15 to boast to his pve buddies to me.. no effort at all would be best i guess

Go join a low ranked HA/PvP guild and get fame/experience with them.

Make friends who tombs and get them to sneak you into their groups.

Make your own groups.

It's not like it's impossible to start getting fame. Every single person in this game started out with 0 fame, and they all accomplished it one way or another.

Sure it's harder now that tombs is dwindling and less people play it, but it's not impossible at all.

You have options
1. Join an unranked team
2. Join a guild that PvPs
3. Quit the game (I vote for this one)

Don't come to guru and expect us to hold your hand and agree that your "injustice" should not stand. Cause generally after seeing all the QQ from people like you we like nothing more than to rip your type apart.

Have fun in WoW, you will not be missed.

Have to say I'm on the side of the PvPers in this particular thread... I don't think he wanted to PvP, and I resisted the urge to snap at him for quite a bit.

As a PvEr, I'm not impressed - the title doesn't show if you're good. Now if I had grouped with him, that would have been something else to go by. Kurz and Lux were heavily farmed before the HFFF got nerfed, so those are no big deal either. I mostly got a sense of 'I spent a lot of time doing X so you MUST take me into Y despite me not knowing anything about it.' Which doesn't hold anywhere, really.

PvPers, I swear there are sane PvErs out there. ><

I am a part of the rank discrimination conspiracy and I am finally deciding to come clean. Yes there is rank discrimination and it is a very prominent and high reaching conspiracy. In fact most of the "pugs" and "randomways" have our agents in them. We quickly subdue any attempt for people to climb ranks and will always throw matches. Any randomway vs randomway is a careful mathematical calculation as to which team winning will have less people gain in fame.

We even go as far as to suppress new builds. Currently we have the next three generations of pug builds, these have all been vetted in secret all insider matches that have never been on observer. Two of the builds I know nothing other than their acronyms, painway and sadway. The third of the builds is based around lacerate, brambles, and balthazar's pendulum, I know no further.

HA is already owned. Wins are not based upon skill, they are carefully hand crafted. No one dares violate this to try otherwise as they will quickly be thrown out and never allowed into any groups, or allowed any wins. Borat may complain about R-spike and ganks all of the time, but that is the character role that he was given. Haxor may call out Borat, but again his role given is antagonistic towards Borat. Everything is in their grasp, you have no chance of breaking this monopoly, give up now.

I'm actually not going to flame you.
Titles don't mean anything anymore. Rank 12 or rank 14 Hero doesn't do anything for you if you have no friends list. The most important thing is your friends list. Nobody wants to play with some random person if they can help it, because stereotypes of random people are that they will not learn, nor will they be any good. So really, your choices are: be willing to learn and improve, or be good. I'll give you a hint: you aren't the latter, so be the former.

PvP, once entered from PvE, isn't easy. You have to focus on "small" things (well, things you once thought were "small" in PvE, such as kiting, shield sets, spike catching, avoiding Bull's [well, actually, nobody does any of this in tombs, so whatever], etc.).

In short: find some friends, or join a guild.
